Projects Overview
Monax’s exploration portfolio comprises 5 projects within South Australia and north Queensland targeting copper-gold, gold, manganese and bauxite.
Punt Hill
The Punt Hill iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) project is located 130km north of Port Augusta within the eastern Gawler Craton IOCG Belt. Punt Hill is located 25 km south of Carrapateena and drilling by Monax has intersected broad zones of copper mineralisation within the basement.
Waddikee
Monax in partnership with manganese producer OM (Manganese) LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of OM Holdings Limited (ASX:OMH) is exploring for manganese and iron. Waddikee is located on the central Eyre Peninsula close to existing infrastructure.
Melton
The Melton IOCG project is a 50:50 joint venture with Marmota Energy Limited (ASX:MEU) and is located on the northern Yorke Peninsula. The Melton project is located on the northern extension of the Pine Point Fault Belt, which hosts the Hillside discovery.
Cape York
Monax has option agreements over 8 tenements and 3 100% owned tenements prospective for bauxite on the Cape York Peninsula.
Percyvale
Monax has an option agreement over 4 granted gold mining leases at Percyvale. Monax has also applied for 6 mining leases within the Percyvale/Gilberton area of north Queensland.
